I think it's cool

to call someone who is connected with you on social media a friend.

It speaks more to me than the word follower. Being a friend and being a follower has a lot of difference and it needs to be noticed.

If you befriended someone on social media, you're their friend, and they probably use social media to find friends, not followers.

And if you started following someone on social media, you're their follower, and they probably use social media to find followers, that means, they use social media to be famous.

I like the original idea of myspace, and I hate that almost everyone here is breaking the point of this site, spacehey. Because it is specifically designed, like myspace was, to find FRIENDS, not followers.
